Rewiring for the Future: Thriving in a Tech-Driven World

Free Business Workshop to Help Southlanders Rewire for the Future

18 May 2025

Great South is bringing one of New Zealand’s most recognised science communicators, Dr. Michelle Dickinson (Nano Girl), to Invercargill this June for a thought-provoking workshop on thriving in an increasingly tech-driven world.

Titled "Rewiring for the Future: Thriving in a Tech-Driven World", the free event will be held on Thursday 12 June from 5:00pm to 6:30pm at the Kelvin Hotel. It's designed specifically for Southland’s business community and aims to spark new ways of thinking around innovation, adaptability, and the integration of AI into the workplace.

With rapid advances in AI and automation, the way we work and do business is changing faster than ever. This workshop will explore how organisations can stay ahead by nurturing the uniquely human skills that technology can’t replace - things like creativity, emotional intelligence and curiosity.

In her engaging and accessible style, Dr. Dickinson will share practical strategies for integrating emerging technologies, identifying trends, and building future-ready teams. Attendees will also hear how fostering a culture of innovation and adaptability can help their businesses remain competitive and resilient in the face of change.

The event will include a complimentary drink on arrival, light snacks, and an opportunity to network with fellow attendees afterwards.

Spaces are limited and registrations are essential.
