2020 i-SITE New Zealand Conference coming to Invercargill
3 Oct 2019
Great South has been successful in our bid to host the next i-SITE New Zealand annual conference to be held in Invercargill either 8-10 or 15-17 September 2020. We are now pleased to be able to offer operators the opportunity to be involved in famils or as sponsors.
The annual i-SITE New Zealand conference will bring over 100 staff from all i-SITE visitor information centres nationwide to our region. This a perfect opportunity to showcase all the great things Southland has to offer to this important group of people who collectively sell over $70.4million of travel products and retail sales per annum through 76 i-SITEs.
We are now asking operators to offer their products to our i-SITE NZ conference delegates in the form of famils. These will take place pre and post the conference. Products and services need to be Qualmark accredited, which also means that operators can be used for famils by Tourism New Zealand as part of their international media programme and for visiting overseas travel trade. Non-Qualmark members can also be involved but must complete the Tourism New Zealand risk assessment.
There are also opportunities available to be a sponsor of the i-SITE NZ Conference. Sponsorship benefits include space for a trade stand for the duration of the conference, media and branding opportunities, speaking slots and time with delegates, invitation to night functions and networking functions, inclusion in conference workshops and much more.
“The i-SITE Visitor Information Network has a critical role to play in the sustainability of our industry. i-SITE Visitor Information Centres are in the unique position of interacting regularly with local communities as well as domestic and international visitors. We’re delighted to be coming down to Southland next year and look forward to you showcasing your exciting tourism product range ... For New Zealand to hold its position as a top visitor destination, it’s essential that our visitors have excellent experiences while they’re here.” - Paul Yeo, Executive Manager of i-SITE New Zealand.
If you are interested in finding out more about your product being part of a famil or being a sponsor for this event please get in touch as soon as possible. We will be finalising this part of the programme in mid-October, therefore we would like all offers in by the 10th October 2019.
