Bringing together schools, employers, training providers, industry organisations and government agencies, we help to strengthen the pathway between education and employment pathways in Southland.
Southland Youth Futures is a regional career exploration programme focused on improving outcomes for Southland youth and reducing the number of NEETS (youth not in education, employment or training) across the region.
To increase awareness of the employment and training opportunities available, we host employer talks in schools, coordinate workplace visits for students and help form connections between students and local employers.
We also encourage employers to invest in the region’s youth by supporting them to adapt their recruiting and employment practices, embrace youth friendly-standards in their workplace and secure their future workforce.
