Carbon Neutral Advantage

Driving the development of Southland’s low-emission future

Responding to the challenge of climate change, our Carbon Neutral Advantage project is helping support Southland's transition to a low-emission future.

Our work in this area involves measuring regional carbon emissions, developing initiatives that insulate businesses against the rising cost of carbon, and supporting the adoption of low-emission technologies and offsetting opportunities across the region.

With this being the first regional project of its kind, we are proud to be leading work in this area and will share our learnings and develop tools that help other regions to establish their own regional emission profiles.

Taking meaningful steps towards reducing Southland's carbon footprint will help to create a competitive advantage for southern industries and sectors and guarantee a sustainable environment for generations to come.
